The trailer of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan hit the web recently and has made it to the top videos in India within a few minutes of its release. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar, bringing back memories of their first film together, Dum Laga Ke Haisha.
Directed by RS Prasanna, the film will see Ayushmann and Bhumi reuniting after their 2015 first-time together flick. Shubh Mangal Saavdhan tells the story of Mudit and Sugandha, a couple waiting to get married to each other.
The new poster of the movie has also been tweeted by the filmmaker. The director also tweeted, “Can’t bear the excitement! Barely a day to go for the trailer. Kindly bear with us till then. Bear hug to team.”
The poster features Ayushmann’s on-screen persona in sleep mode, with Bhumi Pednekar’s lap doubling up as a pillow, as a bear attempts to make itself comfortable against a sleeping Ayushmann.
Shubh Mangal Saavdhan started shooting in March, with parts of the shoot scheduled in Delhi. Shubh Mangal Saavdhan was also reportedly filmed in Haridwar, which was the setting for Dum Laga Ke Haisha as well.
Dum Laga Ke Haisha was Bhumi Pednekar’s debut project. She will next be seen in Toilet - Ek Prem Katha, a film with Akshay Kumar. Bareilly Ki Barfi is Ayushmann Khuranna’s next film and he also has Manmarziyan in the pipeline.
