The oldest running international beauty pageant coming to Bangladesh. Antar Showbiz and Omikon Entertainment is jointly bringing the franchise of Miss World to the country.
Miss World Bangladesh was launched through an event held in the capital yesterday where organisers announced details of the pageant.
The registration for the first selection round commences on July 28, while the next audition round and the TV round of this competition will start on September 1. The final gala round will be held on September 29 after wrapping up other rounds.
Hasanul Hoque Inu, the Information Minister, graced the launching event as the chief guest. The minister also invited everyone to take such positive initiative for women empowerment in Bangladesh.
Engineer Mehedi Hasan, the chairman of Omikon Entertainment, said, “Miss World Bangladesh will set a bright example of women empowerment and independence in Bangladesh.”
Swapan Chowdhury, the chairman of Anotor Showbiz, said, “The winner of Miss World Bangladesh will represent Bangladesh at the international stage.”
Lovello is the title sponsor of Miss World Bangladesh and the program will be aired on NTV.
