Taylor Swift will perform at the 2026 Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on October 17, joining an event honouring actor Charlize Theron, actor Colman Domingo and filmmaker-composer John Carpenter.
The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures announced Swift’s performance on October 8. Amy Homma, director and president of the Academy Museum and Academy Collection, welcomed the singer’s participation, praising her global appeal and contribution to the event.
The annual gala, now in its sixth year, raises support for the museum’s mission to celebrate and preserve cinema. Last year’s event honoured Penélope Cruz, Bowen Yang, Walter Salles and Bruce Springsteen, who also performed.
Swift’s appearance comes as her song “I Knew It, I Knew You,” written for the “Toy Story 5” soundtrack, gains attention in the Oscar race for best original song. The track has topped the Billboard Hot 100 and featured in her promotional campaign for the category.
The singer previously performed the song at the animated film’s world premiere in June. She also included it in a piano mashup with “August” and “All Too Well” during an appearance at the Grammy Museum in August.
Swift recently released four bonus tracks from her album “The Life of a Showgirl”: “Patient Zero,” “Pink Clouding,” "Babylon," and “Cleveland!”
