Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcomed their second daughter on September 19, announcing her arrival through a joint social media post.
The announcement featured a message reading, “Welcome baby girl, 19/9/2026,” followed by the names of their first daughter, Dua, Deepika and Ranveer. The couple also included an evil-eye emoji in the post.
The birth came a day after Deepika and Ranveer visited Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple to seek blessings ahead of the arrival of their second child.
Following the announcement, several Bollywood celebrities congratulated the couple. Actor Kriti Kharbanda wrote: “Congratulations!” Fashion designer Masaba Gupta commented: “Two girls! What more does one ask for.”
Neha Dhupia wrote: “Congratulations … may all of you, always be blessed.” Sonam Kapoor also congratulated the couple, while actor Anil Kapoor wrote: “Congratulations. Girls are the best.”
Deepika and Ranveer announced their second pregnancy earlier this year through a photograph of Dua holding a pregnancy test showing two pink lines.
Earlier this month, the couple shared a series of black-and-white photographs from their maternity shoot to mark Dua’s second birthday on September 8. The photographs featured Deepika, Ranveer and Dua, with Deepika showing her baby bump.
Sharing the photographs, Ranveer wrote: “Baby Dua and our hearts are getting bigger! Thank you for your blessings!”
The couple welcomed their first daughter, Dua, on September 8, 2024. They announced her birth through a joint social media post and revealed her name in November that year.
Deepika and Ranveer also visited Siddhivinayak Temple shortly before Dua’s birth in 2024. They returned to the temple ahead of the birth of their second daughter.
The couple have yet to announce the name of their newborn daughter.
