Nusraat Faria and Azmeri Haque Badhan are set to share the screen in the upcoming film “Lojja”, jointly produced by Impress Telefilm and Jaaz Multimedia.
Directed by M H Khokon, the film was officially announced on September 8, coinciding with Faria’s 31st birthday.
A signing ceremony for the project was held at the Channel i office on September 5. Faridur Reza Sagar, managing director of Impress Telefilm Limited and Channel i, and Abdul Aziz, owner of Jaaz Multimedia, attended the event alongside members of the production team.
Aziz has written the story of “Lojja”. According to the producers, filming is scheduled to begin on September 20, with a theatrical release planned for next year. The film will later be released on the OTT platform iScreen.
The makers have yet to disclose details about the story or the characters played by Faria and Badhan. However, Aziz described “Lojja” as a socially conscious film and said the release date has not yet been finalized.
Badhan is known for her work in films including “Rehana Maryam Noor” and “Khufiya”. “Rehana Maryam Noor” premiered in the Un Certain Regard section of the 74th Cannes Film Festival, bringing her international recognition.
Meanwhile, Faria is completing work on her web film “Lapatta”, directed by Mehedi Hassan Hridoy. The project has one song sequence left to film and is scheduled to premiere on iScreen in October.
