Former national footballer Kaiser Hamid has alleged that his daughter, content creator Karina Kaisar, suffered a deterioration in her health due to what he described as “improper treatment” in Bangladesh.
Speaking to Dhaka Tribune, he claimed she was initially admitted to Evercare Hospital in Dhaka, where her condition worsened shortly after she was placed on life support following primary treatment.
“She was given improper treatment in Dhaka. In the initial stage, incorrect medical procedures were applied, which worsened her condition,” he said.
He further stated that her condition has since stabilised following her transfer abroad for medical care.
Karina is currently receiving treatment at the Christian Medical College (CMC) Hospital in Vellore, India.
According to him, Karina was airlifted to Chennai around 11pm on Monday. Her mother and two brothers accompanied her during the transfer.
He also alleged that during treatment in Dhaka, she was administered unnecessary medication, including sleeping pills and antibiotics, which he claimed affected her lungs. He added that doctors in India are now focusing on stabilising her lung condition before proceeding with a planned liver transplant.
“After stabilising the lungs, a liver transplant will be performed,” he said, adding that Bangladesh lacks adequate facilities and equipment for such procedures.
Kaiser Hamid also said that Karina’s two brothers, Mostafa S Hamid and Sadat Hamid, have agreed to donate parts of their liver. He claimed that around 20 percent of the liver will come from her younger brother Sadat, whose blood type matches hers.
Karina Kaisar, known for her work as a content creator and actress, has appeared in projects including Internship and 36-24-36.
