Rajshahi’s Bidushi Bornita has been crowned the winner of Lux Superstar 2025.
The trophy was handed over at a grand ceremony held at the Bangladesh–China Friendship Conference Centre in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka, Bangladesh, on Friday.
The trophy was presented to Bornita by actress Bidya Sinha Mim and the Chief Executive Officer of Unilever Bangladesh, Ruhul Quddus Khan. Director Raihan Rafi is set to make a film featuring the winner Bornita.
In the competition, Nazah Nawar Binte Nurul from Pabna, Bangladesh was named first runner-up and received a cheque of Tk 500,000. The second runner-up was Amina Islam from Chattogram, Bangladesh, who received Tk 100,000.
Five contestants competed in the final round: Amina Islam, Bidushi Bornita, Nusrat Afrin Yumna, Tista Pal, and Nazah Nawar Binte Nurul.
After a seven-year hiatus, Lux Superstar was revived. The beauty pageant, which began in 2005 and was held regularly for several years, was last organised in 2018.
This year’s mentors included Jaya Ahsan, Mehazabien Chowdhury, and Raihan Rafi.
At the event, Managing Director of Channel i Faridur Reza Sagar announced that director Shihab Shaheen will produce a web film featuring the winners.
The final round, which began at 7:30pm, was hosted by Mosharraf Karim and Arifin Shuvoo. Musical and dance performances at the event were presented by Jefar Rahman, Irfan Sajjad, Tawsif Mahbub, Arsh Khan, among others.
