On Independence Day, March 26, a new version of the timeless patriotic anthem “Prothom Bangladesh” was released worldwide, marking both the nation’s historic day and the debut of music and creative production platform Fireworks.
Originally sung by legendary artist Shahnaz Rahmatullah, with lyrics by Moniruzzaman Monir and tunes by Alauddin Ali, the song has been reimagined by celebrated composer Fuad Almuktadir.
“Our main goal is to present the song to the new generation in a new way while keeping the tradition and emotion intact,” Fuad said of the arrangement.
The accompanying video, produced in the form of a live performance, highlights the raw power of the singers’ voices, live instrumentation, and immediate energy, brought together in a striking visual presentation.
Released simultaneously across digital platforms worldwide, the new “Prothom Bangladesh” carries forward the spirit of independence while introducing a fresh soundscape for today’s audience -- signaling both a tribute to tradition and the beginning of Fireworks’ creative journey.
