Bollywood’s beloved Desi Girl is back — and she’s armed with grit, glamour, and a gun.
Priyanka Chopra’s first look from “Globetrotter”, SS Rajamouli’s much-anticipated cinematic spectacle, was unveiled and instantly went viral, marking her powerful return to Indian cinema.
Draped in a vibrant yellow saree and clutching a pistol, Priyanka’s character Mandakini appears poised for confrontation, hinting at a layered, action-packed role.
Rajamouli shared the poster on X, writing: “The woman who redefined Indian cinema on the global stage. Welcome back, Desi Girl! Can’t wait for the world to witness your myriad shades of Mandakini.”
Priyanka echoed the sentiment on Instagram, captioning her post: “She’s more than what meets the eye… say hello to Mandakini.”
Fans flooded both platforms with praise, celebrating the actress’s return to home turf after years of Hollywood success.
“Globetrotter”, also known as SSMB29, is Rajamouli’s next magnum opus following the global triumph of RRR.
With an estimated budget of $116 million, the film is being hailed as one of India’s most ambitious productions to date.
The story, inspired by Indiana Jones-style adventures, follows a rugged explorer, played by Mahesh Babu, on a perilous mission through wild landscapes and ancient mysteries.
Filming began in Hyderabad and has since spanned Odisha and parts of Africa, promising a visual feast and a narrative packed with suspense, mythology, and high-stakes drama.
