Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington commits suicide

Linkin Park lead vocalist Chester Bennington has been found dead in a private residence in Palo Verdes Estates in Los Angeles. He was 41. Chester’s body was discovered on Thursday morning and it is believed that he hung himself, TMZ reports quoting law enforcement sources. The singer is survived by his wife, Talinda Ann Bentley, and six children. He struggled with drug and alcohol addictions at various times during his life. Chester was very close with Chris Cornell, who himself committed suicide by hanging in May. Today would have been Cornell's 53rd birthday. Bennington wrote an open letter to Chris on the day of Chris’ suicide. Linkin Park’s most recent album, One More Light, topped the Billboard 200 earlier this year.
