Asif Islam’s “Nirvana” has been leaving its mark film festivals across the globe. Earning the Special Jury award at the Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF), then receiving another on the other side of the continent at the Ganges-sur-Seine International Film Festival in France.
Now the film is ready to leave its impact on Kazakhstan. “Nirvana” will be screened at the 7th Eurasia International Film Festival. The festival will start on November 24 and end on December 1, “Nirvana” will be screened on November 25.
Asif Islam said, “It was unexpected, but they confirmed the film for the competition section. With the short notice, I had to rush through the visa process”.
11 films from 11 countries will participate.
"Nirvana" follows the lives of three factory workers, a grieving mother play by Fatema Tuz Zohra Eva, a woman going through heartbreak caused by betrayed love played by Priyam Archi and a man struggling with his sexual identity played Imran Mahathir.
Asif Islam will be travelling to Kazakhstan on November 23.
