South Indian actors Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna's film Pushpa: The Rise became a blockbuster hit. Audiences are eagerly awaiting its sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule, which has been made on a massive budget of ₹500 crore.
It was previously reported that the film would release simultaneously in Bangladesh.
However, while the release date has been finalized as December 5, it is now confirmed that the film will not be released in Bangladesh on the same day.
The Bangladeshi import-export company Action Cut Entertainment had announced plans to release Pushpa 2: The Rule in Bangladesh a few months ago, raising audience anticipation.
However, the company's head, Anonno Mamun, has now said that they are not importing Pushpa due to their focus on another film, Dard.
He also expressed doubt that any other distributor would bring the movie to Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, Jaaz Multimedia, another importer of Indian films, has also confirmed that they will not be releasing Pushpa 2: The Rule.
This was confirmed by Abdul Aziz, the head of the company.
Two weeks ago, The Abhi Kathachitra released Bollywood’s Stree 2 in Bangladesh.
However, the company’s head, Zahid Hasan Abhi, mentioned that no decision has been made regarding importing Pushpa 2: The Rule.
All in all, while fans in Bangladesh are eagerly awaiting the much-anticipated film, its release in the country remains uncertain.
