Music director Pavel Areen's 'Living Room Session' is gradually getting rich with the songs of the “Mahajans’ of Bengali music. This new platform of music has brought the song 'Rongila' by Sachin Dev Burman.
They have already been appreciated for their new arrangements of the melodious timeless songs collected from the Bengali music repertoire, adapted for the new generation. In continuation of that, they released Sachin Karta's 'Rongila' song, sang by of musician Masha Islam.
The song was released on Thursday evening on Time Zone's dedicated Living Room Sessions YouTube channel.
But the story behind the new arrangement of the song is completely different. Music director Pavel Areen heard the song in his childhood in the voice of Khiya Majhi. Ever since then the song has been stuck in his head.
In Pavel's words, "When the songs for the living room session were being selected, we had several Sachin Dev Burman songs on our list. There is a special case of choosing the song 'Rongila' - as a child, I had to go to my grandmother's house. Heard this song for the first time in the mouth of Kheya Majhi. Since then the song has stuck in the ear. Later I came to know that the song is by the great hero of Bengali music, Sachin Dev Burman.
Regarding the production of the song in the new arrangement, Pavel also said, “Talented artist Masha Islam has recorded the song with care. I have tried to prioritize the lyrics and the singer in the music. Hope the music lovers will like the new sound of Rongila song.”
