“Esha Murder” directed by Sunny Sanwar revealed it’s teaser on March 19. The teaser has thriller fans in a frenzy. Sunny Sanwar had produced the national award winning film “Dhaka Attack”. The teaser was unveiled on Cop Creation’s Youtube channel.
The movies stars Azmeri Haque Badhan, Puja Agnes Cruze, Sumit Sengupta, Misha Sawdagar, Shatabdi Wadud, Faruque Ahmed, Nibir Adnan, Sarker Raunak Ripon, Sharif Siraj, Sushama Sarker, Shilpi Sarker Apu, Hasnat Ripon, Eshika Sakin, and Sayed Azaz Ahmed.
Badhan stars as police officer Lina, who is investigating the serial rape and murder of women. When director Sunny Sanwar was asked about the movie, he reveals that the movie is based on the murder incident in Azimpur in 2009. The movie was written from his own experience as a police officer and reveals the case to have a lasting effect on him.
Badhan said: "I don't take a role if it doesn't challenge me. I shadowed many law enforcement officers to get this part right. Hope the audiences will see its reflection in my performance."
The film is shaping up to be a commercial hit, with the Youtube comment section filled with excited fans, star-studded cast and multiple featured songs. It is a breath of fresh air for fans of murder-mysteries and introduces the genre to new audiences.
“Esha Murder” is expected to be released in theatre during Eid ul-Fitr and to be released for streaming on the OTT platform, Binge during Eid ul-Adha.
Badhan starrer "Rehana Maryam Noor" was the first Bangladeshi film to be officially selected at Cannes Film Festival. The film shot her to international acclaim.
