When members of filmmaker Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz’s team attacked the team members of filmmaker Dipankar Deepan, the CCL was halted as uncertainty arose.
The attackers have already been identified and a case has been registered against them. Following, the organisers have made a compromise between the remaining members of the two teams.
According to a message by Gnext, the organising company behind the CCL, the remaining matches which were temporarily suspended will be held between October 15 and 20. Gnext stated that the decision was taken after discussing with the captains of all the teams.
Without disclosing names the organisers said of the case, “Those responsible for chaos in the game, action has been taken in accordance with the law.”
The CCL was organised to encourage the Bangladesh team in the upcoming ODI Cricket World Cup. A total of eight teams are participating, captained by Gias Uddin Selim, Salahuddin Lavlu, Shihab Shaheen, Chayanika Chowdhury, Dipankar Deepan, Sakal Ahmed, Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz and Raihan Rafi.
Each team consists of 16 celebrities, with 8 people playing on the field. In which the participation of at least two female stars is mandatory.
