French President Emmanuel Macron is scheduled to visit musician and lyricist Rahul Ananda of the singing group “Joler Gaan” at his private studio in the capital’s Dhanmondi's house.
Macron is coming to Dhaka Sunday evening and he will go to Rahul's studio at night, reports media.
Macron will have a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during this visit. He will also pay tribute to the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi road 32.
A source said, while visiting any country, Macron visits studios of artists to learn about the local culture.
He will go to Rahul Ananda's studio around 10pm on Sunday. He will talk to four artists including Rahul Anand for half an hour on issues of cultural exchange between France and Bangladesh. Other artists include Ashfika Rahman, Kamruzzaman Swadhin and Afroza Sara.
Bangladesh and France are set to embark on a new era of relationship with President Emmanuel Macron’s arrival in Dhaka on Sunday on a two-day visit, the first by any French president since 1990.
