India’s latest venture Chandrayaan-3 moon mission already has many Indian filmmakers and production houses rushing to begin registering titles for a film.
The country made history on August 23, 2023 after India’s ISRO successfully executed a soft landing on the Moon’s south pole with Chandrayaan 3.
The IFTPC offices in Mumbai and the IMPAA Indian motion pictures producers association have already had an influx of requests to officially register a range of film titles relating to the landing.
The Indian motion pictures producers association revealed that many film producers have asked to register film titles including Chandrayaan 3, Mission Chandrayaan-3, Vikram Lander, Chandrayaan-3: The New chapter, Bharat Chand Par and so forth.
The IMPAA added that they have received a lot more applications which they will begin reviewing the following week and only a few will be granted permission.
Veteran actor and politician Hema Malini on August 25 expresses her joy with the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon, an event she hopes is translated into a feature film.
Malini stated, “I was very happy to see that our India is making progress. It's reached till the Moon–all Indian citizens are happy and so are my colleagues from the film industry. We are all so happy and thrilled and we keep making something like this. So, a film will definitely be made on the Chandrayaan-3 mission."
Indian actor, director and producer, Anupam Kher also took to twitter to celebrate the occasion writing, "Dear scientists, staff, technicians and everyone at ISRO! 140 crore Indians in India and millions of Indians all over the world are already looking up at the moon with prayers in their hearts and hope in their eyes for Chandrayaan 3 to proudly land."
