The docudrama “Hasina: A Daughter's Tale” based on the life of Sheikh Hasina, as the daughter of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman will be available to watch on Chorki.
Due to the documentary’s association with August 15, 1975, “Hasina: A Daughter's Tale” will be released on Chorki from August 15.
The film directed by Piplu Khan was jointly produced by the Centre for Research and Information and Applebox Films. It was originally released nationwide on November 16, 2018.
When asked about the making of the documentary, Piplu Khan said, "In the docudrama, Sheikh Hasina’s role as head of government, the struggle for survival, various aspects surrounding her personal, family and political life have emerged. Elements of the life of her younger sister Sheikh Rehana have also come. Through this docudrama, I wanted to present an authentic course of life on screen."
The 1 hour 10 minute film narrated by Hasina features her personal life as Mujib’s daughter alongside the period of 1975 when most of the members of her family were brutally killed.
