Amitabh Reza to teach film making at Dhaka University

Update : 18 Jul 2017, 10:31 PM
With his experience in making hit dramas and a super hit film, Aynabaji famed director Amitabh Reza Chowdhury can teach a thing or two about film making. University of Dhaka’s Department of Television, Film and Photography certainly agree. The popular director has just joined the department to formally teach a course on film. An economics graduate from Fergussion College Pune, Amitabh posted a short message on his verified Facebook page on July 17 saying his foray into teaching will be worthwhile if he could pass on some of his knowledge to the learners. “I wasn’t able to go to Dhaka University, but if I could pass on even a little bit of what I acquired from the last 17 years of experience, then that will be enough,” the post read. “To be honest, it’s more fun to talk about films than actually making them,” Amitabh cheekily concluded. A credible source at the department anonymously confirmed Dhaka Tribune that Amitabh Reza Chowdhury has been given appointment on a six months contract to teach a course on film direction. First coming into prominence with television dramas like Hawa Ghar and Ekti Phone Kora Jabey Please?, Amitabh soon gained reputation for making successful commercials with emotional storytelling, and finally gaining tremendous success with his debut feature film Aynabaji. He is currently working on a new feature film titled Rickshaw Girl.
