Photo exhibition opens at Batighar to spread awareness about children with cancer

“Onkur” showcases photographs taken by Farhana Satu to increase awareness, and spread compassion for children with cancer.

A photo exhibition styled as Onkur,”organized by Mongol Deep Foundation, has recently been kicked off in the capital. The exhibition was inaugurated at Asiatic Centre on 20 November 2022.  

“Onkur” showcases photographs taken by Farhana Satu to increase awareness, and spread compassion for children with cancer. The exhibition will continue till December 3, 2022. It's open for everyone from 3pm to 8pm every day.

Photojournalist and documentary photographer Farhana Satu through her photographs, depicts the often neglected reality of the under privileged children with cancer. 

In this regard, former Culture Minister and veteran actor Asaduzzaman Noor, Chairman of Asiatic 360 Group and a founding Member of Mongol Deep Foundation said, “The core purpose of creating Mongol Deep Foundation was to be associated with various cultural and philanthropic activities. We are trying to do something in the continuation of that, and today's exhibition is a part of that”.

“Through Batighar, we want to ensure opportunities for young and talented artists to showcase their work in Bangladesh,” said actor Iresh Zaker, another founding member of Mongol Deep Foundation. “We hope to create more platforms to showcase the skills of young and talented artists.”
