Production house Dhruba TV has deleted three episodes of popular drama serial “Bachelor Point” in the face of criticisms by netizens against some inaudible vulgar dialogues.
In a post from its official Facebook page, Dhruba TV authorities on Sunday said they had removed several episodes of the drama, and would be careful in future to avert any adverse impact on the country’s culture and the society.
It was found that the production house immediately removed episodes 74, 75 and 76 from its YouTube Channel.
Starred by Marzuk Russel, Ziaul Hoque Polash, Mishu Sabbir, Chashi Alam, Shamim Hasan Sarker and Tousif among others, “Bachelor Point” has garnered million views in every episode as it paints the ordeals of some unmarried men sharing a flat in Dhaka.
Directed by Kajal Arefin Ome, the 52-episode drama was first aired in a private TV channel in 2019. A new season began later and could be watched on the YouTube channel of Dhruba TV.
The drama has faced such severe criticisms apparently for first time in its fourth season recently, when netizens brought to the fore the whimsical use of slangs, some of which are usually muted, throughout the seasons and called for a boycott.
