Nicolas Cage, once considered one of Hollywood’s highest paid actors, has recently been making small-budget films. And that is about to change soon.
Known for his over-the-top performances and an eccentric lifestyle which includes buying the most haunted house in America and tripping on mushroom with his pet cat Lewis, the actor is making headlines again.
He is all set to play one of the most eccentric, unpredictable Hollywood actors of all time: Nicolas Cage himself
The 56-year old actor will play a fictionalized version of himself in the upcoming meta drama titled "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent."
The IMDb synopsis of the film reads, “A cash-strapped Nicolas Cage agrees to make a paid appearance at a billionaire super fan's birthday party, but is really an informant for the CIA since the billionaire fan is a drug kingpin and gets cast in a Tarantino movie.”
Directed by Tom Gormican, the film would star "Narcos" actor Pedro Pascal, comedian Tiffany Hadish, and Sharon Horgan in supporting roles.
The poster was designed by Steve Chorney, who had previously illustrated artworks for James Bond, Indiana Jones, Who Framed Roger Rabbit and others.
The new poster was inspired by "Big Trouble in Little China," "Cannonball Run," and "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood."
The film will hit the theatres in late April, 2022.
