Vidya Balan will return as Manjulika in 'Bhul Bhulaiya 2'

Remember the ghost of classical dancer Manjulika who won't let the ancestors of Raja Vibhuti Narayan live in peace? Well, she is back.
Vidya Balan, who earned critical acclaim for her portrayal of Manjulika in the 2007 horror drama "Bhool Bhulaiyaa" is set to reprise her role in the upcoming sequel.
"Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2" director Anees Bazmee confirmed the news.
Balan seems to be the only major actor from the original film to make an appearance in the sequel. The new cast includes Tabu, Kiara Advani, Kartik Aaryan and others.
The director told several media outlets that the sequel would tonally diverge from the original 2007 film. "If we make another psychological thriller, there will be too many comparisons with the first edition. We have upped the ante in horror. There is no buffoonery, we've opted [to fill it with] situational comedy instead. And the lead actor Kartik is extremely natural and comfortable at comedy."
