In 2021, BBC announced the conclusion of its widely popular British drama “Peaky Blinders” with season 6. The much-anticipated trailer for the last season is finally here.
In the new season, fans will find their beloved characters on the edge of the World War II and witness the terrifying rise of Oswald Mosley’s Blackshirts and Nazis.
Created by Oscar-nominated director and screenwriter Steven Knight, the series stars Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy, Paul Anderson, Finn Cole, Anya Taylor-Joy, Sophie Rundle, and Stephen Graham.
It is still not clear whether Helen McCrory, who played Polly and died in April 2021, will make an appearance on the final season.
“’Peaky’ is back and with a bang,” show-runner Knight said. “After the enforced production delay due to the Covid pandemic, we find the family in extreme jeopardy and the stakes have never been higher. We believe this will be the best series of all and are sure that our amazing fans will love it. While the TV series will be coming to an end, the story will continue in another form.”
Knight has also confirmed the release of a "Peaky Blinders” film. “We are in development. It’s a fully formed idea and it has a beginning, middle, and end. And I think it’s going to be a fitting conclusion to the story told so far.”
