Update : 06 Jul 2017, 10:57 PM
This has surely been a great year for Shunno with vocalist Imrul Karim Emil becoming a father of a healthy baby boy as well as the fact that the pop-rock band is ready to release their latest album. Shunno has, thus far, released four commercially successful albums and several singles. Their first album Notun Srot dropped on April 15, 2008, and a year later, they released their second album Shoto Asha on April 15, 2009. Perhaps, they are most notable for being a super group with energetic members like Andrew Michael Gomes, Shaker Raza, Rafatul Bari Labib along with Emil after achieving commercial and critical success since their debut. Their song “Shoto Asha” was chosen as the theme song for the Bangladesh Cricket Team for a campaign by a renowned telecom operator. Two years later, they released their third album Gorbo Bangladesh on April 15, 2011, and three years after that, they released their fourth album titled, Bhaago on April 15, 2014. However, in 2016, Shaker Raza left the band, and was replaced by Ishmamul Farhad on lead guitars. Their fifth album is titled, Lottery which features six electrifying songs, will be launched at an exciting concert where the band will perform some of their popular songs alongside the ones from the album. The event will be held on July 8 at the capital’s Bashundhara International Convention Center. Tickets are available at daraz.com.bd. The album is being sponsored by Closeup.
