Sachin’s inspirational tale

Update : 26 May 2017, 10:35 PM
Sachin’s biopic, Sachin: A Billion Dreams was released on Friday May 26. The Master blaster organised a special premiere of the film which was attended by Indian cricketers earlier last week, before they departed for England to play in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy. This story revolves around the fantastic journey of Sachin Tendulkar from the time when he was a mischievous kid, up until his final moments on the pitch when he bid farewell to cricket leaving millions in tears. His childhood has been shown in a dramatic representation, where actors portray a young Sachin, as well as his family members and coach, Ramakant Achrekar. The rest of the movie is told through a series of snippets and real footage, narrated by none other than the God of Cricket, Sachin himself. Former Indian batsman, Virender Sehwag was excited after watching the film and urged his fans to watch it as well. He posted a video on his twitter account saying, “I have seen Sachin Tendulkar’s batting for free from the non-striker’s end and even while sitting in the dressing room. But now it is time to spend some money and watch his movie. I will definitely go and watch his movie and will spend some money. I even expect that you (fans) all will also go and watch his movie because the kind of inspiration that the kids can get from his movie, they can’t get it from anywhere else.” Sachin: A Billion Dreams is directed by James Erskine, with a screenplay that has been devised by Sivakumar Ananth and accompanied with music by A R Rahman.
