Veteran actor Ferdousi Ahmed Leena passed away on Saturday. She was suffering from acute kidney problems for some time.
Her acting career took off with the BTV fiction Kalo Kokil. She made her way into the film industry with Bulbul Ahmed's 1987 film Rajlakshmi Srikanta (1987). Her other notable films include Chashi Nazrul Islam's Devdas (2013), Mostofa Sarwar Farooki's Made in Bangladesh (2007), and Masud Pathik's Maya The Lost Mother (2019). She has acted in many television serials, including Gulshan Avenue, Nandini, Ghotok Pakhi Bhai, Neel Jochonai Kalo Shaap, and Shongshoptok. She was also an official at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy until 2017.
Eminent actors have expressed their grief at her sudden passing. She was 63.
