Dhaka Dream is about the ceaseless migration of rural people towards the capital of Bangladesh. Even if Dhaka is one of the most populous cities in the world, many people of Bangladesh still migrates to the capital every day to make a new life. Dhaka Dream will show the stories and dreams of such people, and also reveal how some of their dreams get shattered.

Director Proshoon told reporters: "According to surveys conducted by many international organizations, Dhaka is ranked lowest in terms of living conditions. In spite of that, people have not stopped migrating to this city. This is because everything is centralized in Dhaka. I have tried to make a complete film just from this very idea.

"Even if I consider films to be a 'serious work of art,' I believe that it does not come into conflict with entertaining or making people think about an issue. Therefore, 'Dhaka Dream' is a film about dreams, entertainment, and it is also a film that makes people think," Proshoon added.
