A concert to raise funds for Andrew Kishore's treatment has been announced. The concert will be held on December 20 at New York's Queens Palace.
Many popular artists from Bangladesh will perform at the event along with local musicians. All proceeds from the concert, being organized by Bangladesh Showtime Music and other organizations of North America and community leaders, will be handed to Andrew's family.
The Chairman of Bangladesh Showtime Music Alamgir Khan Alam wrote in a Facebook post: "We have already spoken to Andrew. He and several national artists asked for the concert to be arranged. Therefore, it will be held on December 20.”
Currently Andrew is receiving treatment from Singapore General Hospital. Already 12 chemotherapy treatments have been completed in three cycles. The next cycle of chemotherapy has already begun from Tuesday.
The chemotherapy treatments, which are being given to Andrew, cost Tk900,000 each. Andrew's family has already spent well over Tk1 crore for his treatment. They need more than Tk2 crore for the remaining treatment.
