An art exhibition titled Praccher Prachin Dhara: The Ancient Lineage of The East was inaugurated at the Gallery Cosmos in New DOHS, Mohakhali at 5:30pm on Tuesday.
According to a press release, the exhibition is dedicated to the memory of artist Kalidas Karmakar.
Ambassador and Head of Delegation of the European Union HE Rensje Teerink was special guest at the inauguration.
A total 25 artworks by 25 different artists are being showcased at the exhibition. The artists are: Nasreen Begum, Elham Huq Khuku, Rubina Akhter, Afrozaa Jamil Konka, Nasima Khanam Queenie, Dilruba Latif Rosy, Trivedi Gopal Chandra, Dr Mizanur Rahman Fakir, Dr Sushanta Kumar Adhikary, Md Abdul Aziz, Fahmida Khatun, Malay Bala, Kantideb Adhikary, Zahangir Alom, Sumon Baidya, Md Nazmul Haque Bappy, Iskindar Mirza, Tanjima Tabassum Easha, Amit Nandi, Md Nazmul Hasan, Nahida Nisha, AKM Golam Ullah Nishan, Samina Zaman, Saahanaz Akther Pinky and Fahmida Haque Mahi.
The exhibition will be open daily, from 12pm to 8pm, until November 10.
