Robert Downey Jr, who plays Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), was recently a guest on The Howard Stern Show, a popular American radio talk show, and commented on prolific filmmaker Martin Scorsese’s recent comment about “Marvel movies not being cinema.”
He said: “It’s his opinion.”
“I mean, it plays in theaters" he added.
He also said: “I appreciate his opinion because I think it’s like anything. We need all of the different perspectives so we can come to the center and move on.”
