Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao are set to be seen together on screen once again, though this time not as a couple.
In Judgementall Hai Kya, the debut Hindi film by Telugu director Prakash Kovelamudi, Ranaut plays the role of Bobby, who becomes a murder suspect in her attempt to expose the crimes committed by Keshav (Rajkummar Rao).
Bobby believes that Keshav is a murderer, but fails to convince police of her allegations as she has a reputation for being crazy.
Written by Kanika Dhillon, the comedy-laced thriller will be released on July 26. The cast also includes Satish Kaushik, Brijendra Kala, Jimmy Shergill, and Hussain Dalal, among others.
The previous title of the film, Mental Hai Kya, was changed after complaints by the Indian Psychiatric Society and the Indian Medical Association.
The film has since been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification, with a UA certificate and minor changes.
It will be Ranaut’s first film in 2019 after the historical epic Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Rao’s most recent release was Ek Ladki Ko Dekha in February.
