Ghaashphoring Choir, founded by singer-songwriter Armeen Musa back in 2015, is looking for new members.

They have released an application form for interested applicants, who will have to submit that by June 11, according to their official Facebook page. Musicians who can commit twice a week for the next six to nine months have been requested to apply.

Rehearsals will take place on Saturday and Wednesday each week, and the newly selected recruits will go through a probation period, during which they will learn the new songs.

Ghaashphoring Choir has been performing at musical events in Dhaka for the last four years, and has made a reputation of covering popular Bangla songs in their own choir-style arrangements.

The group first came under spotlight back in October 2015 with their first live show — “Arnob Medley by the Ghaashphoring Choir” — at Jatra Biroti restaurant in the capital.

Their current lineup includes: Rushnaf Wadud, Avishek Bhattacharjee, Deepti Huq, Scionara Shehry, Nandanagshu Dhrubo, Shazzat Udash, Marium Mahzabin, Tasmia Kamal Proma, Farah Mehnaz Oyshee, Ullash Podder, Avita Maheen and Sadia Rahman.

Also, Moinak Kunango is on guitars and musical arrangement and music direction is done by the choir’s founder and director Armeen Musa.
