Everything you need to know about the Prison Break resurrection

Update : 29 Mar 2017, 10:01 PM
It was about a decade ago, when a young actor named Wentworth Miller was looking for a breakout role to boost his career until he got one - a ‘breakout’ character both literally and figuratively. Time went by and Wentworth Miller became famous for the role of Michael Scofield, one of the lead characters in the hit TV series Prison Break. After an explosive four-season run from 2005 to 2009, the thrilling Fox drama was brought to an end with a noble sacrifice for Michael. It’s been eight years since the Scofield brothers disappeared from the prison, and from our screens as well. But as it turns out, the witty former inmate with a brain tumour in his super-brain has found out a way to return from death’s door. With Miller and co-star Dominic Purcell, along with many of the series’ original cast members, Prison Break will return on April 4, presumably with greater twists and turns. Here’s a few things you need to know about the Fox revival.Michael escapes his death tooThat’s pretty obvious, right? The campy thought-to-be-deceased surely sorted a way out of his grave. Several fans are already formulating theories behind his return, including the theory that Michael faked his cancer. Given that his death occurred off camera, and all that the audience ever saw was Michael’s grave, there was always the possibility that he didn’t actually die.A changed T-BagIn a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Robert Knepper spoke about the changes that took place for his character. According to him, on Prison Break Season 5, T-Bag has stopped reacting instantaneously to every wrong done to him, but rather has learned to “think about things.”Lincoln repays MichaelBack in 2005, Prison Break began with Michael’s complex scheme to break his brother, Lincoln Burrows, out of death row and save his life. In the resurrection, Lincoln will have to repay the favour for Michael, as they are likely to encounter several old friends, an old foe, and a lot of deadly threats in a foreign country.More prisons, more breaksWhen it comes to the Scofield brothers, it’s always assumed that they are going to end up in jail. Obviously, there will be no difference in the new season, and the elder Scofield brother will be seen landing himself in prison again. Only this time, he’s incarcerated in Yemen. The Sara reunion and the biggest escapeThe fifth instalment will bring back Sara – who’s seen to have moved on with her life and is raising Michael’s son with a new husband. But as clues surface that prove Michael is alive and in trouble, Lincoln, Sara and the whole Fox River Penitentiary gang – including Sucre and C-Note, reunite and embark on Prison Break’s biggest escape/rescue mission yet.
