Shwapno, one of the largest grocery store chains in Bangladesh, unveiled “Melay Jaire” T-shirts on Thursday at one of their outlets in Gulshan 1.
The T-shirts are named after Feedback's iconic song from the 90s, sung by their vocalist Maqsudul Haque.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these T-shirts will support the PFDA-Vocational Training Center, an institution for children with autism. This campaign is aligned with Shwapno’s long-term goal to secure, and to work for the welfare of, children with special needs.
The T-shirts were unveiled by the prominent singer Maqsudul Haque himself, along with the Executive Director of ACI Logistics Limited, Sabbir Hasan Nasir, and Professor Deepa of the PFDA Vocational Training Center.
Business Directors of Shwapno, Shohel Tanvir Khan and Saiful Alam; and Chief of Sales and Corporate Affairs Shamsudduha Chowdhury were present at the event — along with Shwapno's other senior staff.
Regarding this initiativeMaqsudul said: “I feel honoured to be a part of this great initiative taken by Shwapno and PFDA. It gives me great pleasure to work for the differently-abled children who need our help. I thank the authorities for arranging such activities ahead of the Bangla New Year."
Sabbir Hasan Nasir said: "Shwapno has always stood by positive initiatives and will always be like that. Through this work, we are making an effort to uphold the Bangali culture and work for the underprivileged around us. I would like to urge people to come and collect their T-shirts from Shwapno’s outlets to help children with autism grow, and help fulfill their dreams."
