Acclaimed folk singer Abdul Kuddus Boyati's daughter Ferdous recently requested assistance from the government and public regarding the financial burden of treatment for her father’s illness, through a post on social media.
Boyati became seriously ill due to issues with his oesophagus and was admitted to the National Institute of Diseases of the Chest and Hospital (NIDCH) in Mohakhali on February 17.
He is currently passing his days in bed 12 of Ward 13 of the hospital. Dr Manabendra Biswas is overseeing his treatment.
