Popular film of last year “Mr. Bangladesh” will come to the small screen in the form of a reality show. The star of “Mr. Bangladesh,” Khijir Hayat Khan, made the announcement that the “web reality show” will be released in March.
Regarding the series, Khijir informed the media on Monday: “We want to take this reality show in the direction of Aamir Khan’s ‘Satyamev Jayate.’ We will take to the streets with our show. We will talk about the terrible issues that are plaguing our society. And we will try to find solutions. The first episode will raise awareness about drugs. The shooting for ‘Mr. Bangladesh Agiye Cholo’ will begin in Comilla.”
Abu Akhtarul Iman directed “Mr. Bangladesh,” which was released on July 20 last year. The screenplay was written by Hasnat Piash and Khijir himself. The film marks the debut of Shanarei Devi Shanu, and also stars Shahriar Ferdous Sazeeb, Tiger Robi and Shamim Hasan Sarkar.
Khijir also announced that “Mr. Bangladesh” will compete in the Golden Fox category at Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) this year.
Regarding the film’s participation at KIFF, Khijir said: “Our team has already reached Kolkata. I will go today. On January 17, Kolkata’s film-lovers will be able to watch ‘Mr Bangladesh.’ The two day festival will begin tomorrow.”
