Actor on both silver and small screen, Saidul Anam Tutul, is suffering from heart disease. His wife Mobashwera Khanam Bushra and the Director’s Guild told reporters that Tutul is currently on life support at the coronary care unit (CCU) of Labaid hospital.
Saidul is the first general secretary and lifetime member of Director’s Guild. The current general secretary of the Guild, SA Haque Alik, told the media Saidul suddenly felt a pain in his chest at 2am yesterday. He was taken to Labaid hospital straightaway by his wife and family members.
Saidul is currently under the care of Dr Mahbubur Rahman.
In financial year 2017-18 , Saidul directed the film “Kaalbela” with government aid, that returned him to directing after a 15 year long hiatus. His last major work was “Adhiar.” “Adhiar” was also made with government aid and was released on 2003.
In 1979, Saidul won the National Film Award as Best Editor for the film “Surja Dighal Bari.” He has worked on such well known works as “Ghuddi,” “Dahan,” “Dipu Number 2,” and “Dukhai.”
