Second screening session of 10th International Inter-University Short Film Festival begins today

The second screening of this year’s IIUSFF will be held at the 'Auditorium Nouvelle Vague' of Alliance Française de Dhaka in Dhanmondi

With the slogan "Take Your Camera, Frame Your Dream," the second screening session of 10th International Inter-University Short Film Festival (IIUSFF), 2018, will take place from August 29-30. Organized by the Dhaka University Film Society  the festival promotes, and inspires the work of student filmmakers. 

In 2007, IIUSFF began its journey by aiming to provide a platform for young and talented student filmmakers in Bangladesh, and abroad to showcase their talent. This year, 674 films from 72 countries have been submitted for screening.

The second screening of this year’s IIUSFF will be held at the 'Auditorium Nouvelle Vague' of Alliance Française de Dhaka in Dhanmondi

The festival is free and open for all. The screening sessions on August 29 are from 2-4pm and 4:30-6pm. On August 30, the screenings will take place from 2-4pm. The “Short Films on Refugee” section will be screened later that day from 4:30-6pm.

The last session on refugees is a special category introduced this year for the participants with the support of the festival partner United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

The films scheduled to screen are from Bangladesh, Sweden, Serbia, Iran, Turkey, France, China, Mexico, Egypt, India, Venezuela, US, Belgium, Ecuador, Lebanon, Spain, Switzerland, Argentina, Brazil and Indonesia.
