Update : 18 May 2018, 12:07 AM

Award-winnining Bangladesh-born British filmmaker Menhaj Huda has made a TV film on the British royal family titled “Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance.” As the title describes, the film is all about the meeting and love story of Prince Harry and popular US actor Meghan Markle.

The TV movie, which features Murray Fraser as Prince Harry and Parisa Fitz-Henley as Meghan Markle, premiered on Sunday on popular British TV channel Lifetime Network, who also produced the project. The film is a gift to the royal couple from the producers just before their wedding.

The film is being praised by major media outlets around the globe. The Guardian’s official review stated the film as “a brain-numbing charmer from Lifetime” and praised the filmmaker and writers how they precisely yet carefully brought out the couple’s love story and the dynamics of two lovers from different nations and cultures.

Previously, Lifetime Network produced another TV film like this titled “William & Kate” which was also released just before Prince William and Kate Middleton’s royal wedding in 2011.

Huda is already an established and acclaimed director in the West and is currently living in Los Angeles, California. He is best known for his urban crime drama titled “Kidulthood.”

Huda was born in Bangladesh and moved to the UK as a child and grew up in London.

After completing a degree in engineering at Oxford University, he started working in television training as an editor. His career as a director began in 1993 with the ground-breaking dance music show “Hypnosis” for Channel 4, which was the winner of RTS Award for best graphic design.
