Two-day film festival kicks off in Barishal

A two-day long film festival has began in Barishal on Sunday. The festival, organized by Barisal Film Society. was taking place at the district headquarters’ Ashwini Kumar Hall. Atikur Rahman Khan, director Panafisic, inaugurated the event as chief guest while convenor of Barisal Film Society KM Rabbi presided over the event. In collaboration with Rong Pencil Media, the first show of the day was “Jalal Er Golpo” (Jalal’s Story). The second show featured “Bishorjan,” at 4pm. The third was a short film “Chance Again,” featured at 7pm and the fourth one “Gohin Baluchor”, was at 7:30 pm On the second day, Monday, the first show “Halda/Khelaghor” will be shown at 12pm. The second film will be “Oggatonama” (The Unnamed). Third one, short film “Adritar Jonno” followed by “Gohin Baluchor” will be featured for the second time. Among others, Joint Convenor of Barisal Film Society Towsif Islam Shaown and SA Minnar were present as guests.
