Wahid’s new challenge: ‘Chacha Bahinir Ajob Kahini’

Update : 17 Apr 2018, 01:35 AM
It started when Wahid Ibn Reza saw Bangali expatriates trying to teach Bangla to their children having a difficult time of it. There are no TV programs or digital content that can provide interesting and engaging ways for kids to learn Bangla. Wahid wondered how he could help people, especially kids be more attracted to Bangla. He started to dream of creating Bangla content for kids, like local fairytales, detective stories and other material. Maverick Studios, a Bangladeshi CG and animation company, offered him to be on their team to develop children’s content. The company also wanted to create Bangla contents for kids based on local stories and folklore. Wahid was not sure about their content, so he asked about the promo. After watching the promo Wahid got excited as the contents were full of Bangali inspiration and culture. The voice acting was good too according to him. Wahid joined their team as an executive producer. The title of the animation series is “Chacha Bahinir Ajob Kahini.” Their initial idea is to create ten-minute-long episodes and gradually develop a huge content area for the kids, completely in Bangla. Now, they are looking for funding and sponsorship, and have created an Indiegogo crowd funding campaign. Wahid said, “We are trying to do something for Bangladeshis as well as for Bangalis. No matter where we live, we always keep Bangladesh in our heart. I think this is a great initiative of Maverick Studios and I would love to be a part of this journey and do something for the future of my country.”
