Parallel to Ruhul Robin Khan’s “Nameless”, two other films from Bangladesh - Zuairijah Mou’s “Graffiti” and Abrar K. Hrizal’s “Golper Moddhe Golpo” - have also been selected in the San Mauro Torinese Film Festival, Italy.
Written and directed by Hrizal, “Golper Moddhe Golpo” (Story in a Story) is an 11- minutes experimental short film follows a delusional young filmmaker who can’t make up his mind about what story he wants to film. He takes his camera & starts to shoot whatever that comes his way. Finally, after completing the film, he discovers that he didn’t film anything at all. The whole film was a lucid daydream.
The film had also been screened at Second Asia International (Wenzhou) Youth Short-Film Exhibition in China, 14th International Short and Independent Film Festival, Dhaka 2016, 8th International Inter University Film Festival Dhaka, New Films New Filmakers (Moviyana Film Society) and 1.Dhakina Film Festival in Chittagong.
Mou’s “Graffiti” has also travelled many film festivals before like the Bardhaman Short Film Festival. It’s a 3-minutes short about the forgotten artworks on the walls of Dhaka city. Shot in a greyish tone, the film is devoid of music.
