Sattaya performs Nature’s Blessing

Dance group Essence of the Soul, also known as Sattaya, performed a dance drama titled “Nature’s Blessing” at Dhaka’s Mohila Samity theatre on January 14. Cultural Minister Asaduzzaman Noor was present as the chief guest. USAID Bangladesh’s Deputy Office Director of Democracy and Governance Slavica Radosevic and Additional DIG of Bangladesh Police Habibur Rahman were present as the special guests of the event. The event commenced with the performance of “Aguner Paroshmoni,” choreographed by Anisul Islam Hero, chairperson of Bandhu Welfare Society. “Nature’s Blessing” was choreographed by Kabirul Islam Ratan. Essence of the Soul was created with core support of Bandhu Welfare Society in 2006 to pose, portray and project the voice, vulnerabilities and vital needs of the gender diverse population in the country in terms of human rights and health care issues through their mesmerizing dance performances.
