Update : 05 Dec 2017, 09:18 PM
Sundance has recently released a lineup of 62 short films that’ll play at this year’s festival, which includes “Home Shopper,” a short film directed by British Indian actor Dev Patel. The “Slumdog Millionaire” star won a BAFTA for best actor in a supporting role for “Lion” (2016). This is the first time the audience will see him as a director. The other short films at Sundance this year include “Maude,” directed by Anna Margaret Hollyman; “Painting with Joan,” directed by Jack Henry Robbins; “LaZercism,” directed by Shaka King; “War Paint,” directed by Katrelle N Kindred; “Careful How You Go,” directed by Emerald Fennell, “Cheer Up Baby,” directed by Adinah Dancyger and so on. Mike Plante, senior programmer for the festival, said, “We are always thrilled to discover new voices in filmmaking through the short-film program: they take risks in story and style you might not expect.”
