Ishita has never been on a casting couch

Update : 26 Nov 2017, 09:17 PM
Bollywood actor Tanushree Dutta’s sister, Ishita Dutta, said that she has never been on a casting couch in Bollywood and wishes to never compromise on self-respect and dignity for success. Following the fame after “Aashiq Banaya Aapne,” her sister Tanushree Dutta has chosen a life of Assamese and moved away from the Bollywood limelight. However, her younger sister has been trying her hand to prove herself in Bollywood. Ishita will be seen as one of the female leads in Kapil Sharma's upcoming film “Firangi,” directed by Rajiev Dhingra and produced by Sharma himself. The film also stars Monica Gill in another lead role. In a time when Bollywood is being questioned for sexual misconducts and harassment, especially with new comers, Ishita Dutta, who was last seen in Ajay Devgan starrer “Drishyam,” said in an interview: "I think I am very fortunate to have my sister, who is always there to guide me and my food and lodging has been taken care of. “Since my basic need of life is secure, when it comes to working, I never appeared like a desperate struggler who needs the job to run the kitchen. “It is unfortunate that in every industry, there are people who take advantage of needy people, but I would like to tell all the budding actors not to be vulnerable and always have a backup plan because rejection in auditions and films is not the end of the world. Self respect and dignity are more important for a woman than success." She further added: "It was wrong to blame the victim in a molestation and sexual harassment case. “My lifestyle is not an opportunity for a sick-minded man to harass me. Why does society dictate a girl to live her life with certain norms? I think the perspective should be changed." The actor’s latest release is slated to hit the screens on December 1, 2017.
