Andy Serkis to join Charlize Theron-Seth Rogen starrer 'Flarsky'

English film actor Andy Serkis is all set to join Lionsgate’s Charlize Theron-Seth Rogen starrer feature film “Flarsky.” “The Lord of the Rings” famed actor will be seen in the role of an international media mogul who employs Fred Flarsky, played by Rogen. Rogen, on the other hand, will portray a down-on-his-luck journalist who decides to pursue his childhood crush and former babysitter, played by Theron, who now happens to be the Secretary of State, reports Hollywood Reporter. The dark comedy film is directed by Jonathan Levine, who directed Rogen in the cancer comedy “50/50.” Adapted from Dan Sterling’s script, the comedy is currently being shot in Montreal. Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver are producing via their Point Grey banner alongside Theron and her Denver & Delilah cohorts Beth Kono and AJ Dix. “Flarsky” is slated to release on February 9, 2019. In 1999, Andy Serkis landed the prize role of "Gollum" in Peter Jackson's epic film trilogy based on JRR Tolkien's saga, "The Lord of the Rings." He spent four years playing the part for which, he received several nominations and awards for his performance. Serkis is also set to don the role of Baloo in the upcoming “Jungle Book (2018)” movie.
