Actor Katrina Kaif and director Ali Abbas Zafar have been teasing the fans with stills from the song of their new movie “Tiger Zinda Hai,” which has Bollywood superstar Salman Khan as the lead, for a while now and the official video of the track titled ‘Swag Se Swagat’ is set to be released soon.
The movie directed by Zafar is the sequel to the 2012 hit “Ek Tha Tiger”, which was helmed by Kabir Khan, and seems like an onscreen reunion of Salman and Katrina after five years.
The first song of the sequel features 100 dancers including ballerinas, hip-hop and Afro-dance hall performers from countries like Greece, France, Trinidad and Tobago, amongst others, and was shot on a gorgeous beach in Greece.
In a recent interview, while talking about the song “Swag Se Swagat,” Ali Abbas Zafar said: “In “Ek Tha Tiger” everyone had loved Salman and Katrina’s chemistry, so for us, it was a challenge to push the envelope in terms of how they look and how the song is going to be.
“A lot of attention has been given in terms of their chemistry, how they are styled and the locations. They are looking the best they have looked together and we are absolutely thrilled about that.”
He added: “Everyone already knows that both Salman and Katrina have this unspoken sizzling chemistry on screen and what this song does is, it exploits it in the most beautiful way.”
However, “Tiger Zinda Hai,” set for a December 22 release, is a much needed one for both Salman and Katrina as their recent movies had failed at the box office.
Even Salman’s television reality show “Bigg Boss” has apparently been struggling to retain TRP and its popularity.
Some Bollywood critics have already said that “Tiger Zinda Hain” could rejuvenate both Salman and Katrina’s careers.
