On the occasion of the birthday of Humayun Ahmed, one of the greatest storytellers of Bangla literature, Nandonik Natya Shomproday is organising the staging of “Nripoti.” This is the first play written by Humayun, which will be staged at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy’s Experimental Theatre hall.
The programme commemorating Humayun will be inaugurated by the Primary and Mass Education Minister, Advocate Mostafizur Rahman on Monday evening. Shilpakala Academy’s Director General Liakot Ali Lucky, the writer’s brother Ahsan Habib and wife Meher Afroz Shaon, will also attend the program as guests.
The play which describes the protests against the military dictator and mocks his authoritarian behaviour, will be staged the same day at 7pm, after a discussion session.
This is the eighth production of Nandonik Natya Shomproday. The lead role is played by AMM Hasanuzzaman with Nilufar Wahid, Sohel Rana, Shah Alam, Ovik Mojumdar, Rony, Maruf, Mahin, Shova, Rasel, Rabiya and more playing the other roles.
