Renowned TV actor, model and director Prosun Azad is set to return to the screen after completing a one year ban enacted by the Director’s Guild.
The Lux Channel I Superstar alumna will return for the new episodes of a running TV serial titled “Jokhon Kokhono,” in the role of Beauty, a model coordinator. So far, she has completed a five-day shoot for the new episodes.
Directed by Rahmatullah Tuhin, the serial currently airs on NTV.
“I just want to concentrate on my acting. It feels good to work under the direction of Tuhin bhai. This is the second TV serial that I am working in.
“In 'Jokhon Kokhono,' I am working with Abul Hayat and Dilara Zaman, who are playing the roles of my father and grandmother, respectively. I truly enjoy working with them,” Prosun said on her comeback venture.
Before joining the “Jokhon Kokhono” team, Prosun also wrapped up a shoot for a music video, directed by Imran Kabir Himel.
Following her return, the starlet has also signed on film by Shafiqul Islam Shafique, titled “Bhola,” which also stars Dhallywood actors Bappi and Airin.
Earlier in October 2016, the 350-director strong Director's Guild banned Prosun from being cast in any television projects for one year, following a formal complaint issued by actor and filmmaker Rokeya Prachi against her. The veteran actor alleged Prosun of misconduct and causing her financial loss in the complaint.
The ban, which was the first of its kind since the organisation was founded, stipulated that no member filmmaker was allowed to cast her in any of their TV projects for a year.
Despite the ban, the actor managed to keep her name in the headlines with various activities over the past year.
